MCC Daily Tribune

Thank You

Dear Faculty & Staff,

Commencement is one of the most meaningful traditions in a college’s life—a moment when years of dedication, discovery, and growth culminate in a single, unforgettable celebration. This year’s ceremony at the Blue Cross Arena was no exception. With more than 1,600 students eligible to graduate, the day was filled with pride, joy, and reflection, made possible by the remarkable efforts of colleagues across our campuses.

As President, I want to express my deepest appreciation to the members of the Commencement Planning Committee, with special recognition of co-chairs Ryan Messenger and Eric Wheeler. Their months of preparation, thoughtful coordination, and unwavering commitment ensured that every detail, from the procession to the final recessional, reflected our institution's values and spirit. Their leadership shaped an event that honored our graduates with the dignity and care they deserve.

Equally deserving of recognition are the countless faculty and staff members who volunteered their time and expertise. Many stepped forward to assist with setup, greet families, guide graduates, manage logistics, and support the ceremony, both in the spotlight and behind the scenes. Their generosity and teamwork exemplify the very best of our community.

Commencement succeeds each year not because of a single office or department, but because so many people choose to contribute their talents in service to our amazing students.

This year’s celebration was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together as one. The pride on the faces of our graduates and their families reflected your hard work and dedication. Thank you for helping create a day they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Your work made this year’s commencement not only possible but also exceptional.

Thank you!
