Discover the Support Staff Planning Council (SSPC): What's Happening in March

The Support Staff Planning Council (SSPC) is here to keep you connected, informed, and inspired!    

Mark your calendars – SSPC has a full month of events planned!  

SSPC Monthly Meeting   

  • Tuesday, March 3, 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm 
  • Location: Conference Room 01-307

SSPC Clothing Drive 

Support Staff Planning Council (SSPC) is excited to partner with MCC’s Student Government Association (SGA) to host a clothing drive in support of our students. 

It’s the perfect time to part with: 

  • That sweater hiding in the back of your closet 
  • The blazer with the tags still on 
  • The jacket you haven’t worn in ages  

We welcome donations of: 

  • Clean, gently used everyday clothing 
  • Professional attire for our students 
  • Winter accessories 
  • Any other clothing in good condition ready for a second life.  

Collection Details:  

  • Tuesday, March 3,12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
  • Location:  Empire Room 

Can't make it to the Empire Room between 12 pm and 2 pm?  

No problem! You can drop off your donations on March 3 or 4, 2026 (9:00 am to 3:30 pm) at either campus: 

  • Brighton Campus: Atrium, outside of Student Life 
  • Downtown Campus: Student Engagement Center, 3rd Floor, Suite 310. 

Professional Development Training: Excel  

Learn tips and tricks to boost your productivity in Excel!

Ad Astra Training 

The Campus Events office is excited to offer training on the use of the Ad Astra software and how to submit the Campus Events application via dynamic form!

At the training, you will learn:  

  • How to use Ad Astra to view the calendars for academic and/or non-academic events 
  • Whether you should use the online request form in Ad Astra or the dynamic form to request a room, and what the proper procedures are for doing both 
  • How to find a saved draft of your application, change your password, etc. in dynamic forms 

Training sessions (via Zoom):  

  • Thursday, March 5, 2:00 to 3:00 pm 
  • Thursday, March 12, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm 
  • Thursday, March 26, 2:00 to 3:00 pm
