Volunteers Needed for Commencement 2026

We are excited to announce that the 2026 Commencement will be at the Blue Cross Arena on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 5:00pm! (Please note the new time!)

 As in the past, volunteers are needed to make this event successful for our students.

Faculty Marshals and Line Commanders are needed to help align students properly in the marshaling and seating areas. Please contact Eric Wheeler (ewheeler@monroecc.edu) or call (585) 292-2296 if you are interested in voluntering for either of these roles. Please indicate your area of interest: Faculty Marshal, Line Commander, or name a specific role. 

Name Card Volunteers are also needed to hand out name cards and direct students to their seating area.  If you are interested in volunteering for this role, please contact Patty Ornt (pornt@monroecc.edu) or by calling (585) 292-2406.

Even if you have volunteered in the past, we still need to hear from you to keep our list of volunteers accurate.

Faculty Marshals, Line Commanders and Name Card Volunteers are to report to the Candidate's Marshaling aea (located by the student check-in area ) no later than 3:30pm on May 28th.

As you can see, we are starting earlier this year so please make note of the times.

Parking is available in the Civic Center Parking Garage, South Avenue Garage and open lots in the area.
