MCC Proud: Meet Stephanie Rivoli

Stephanie Rivoli serves as the Director of Finance and oversees Advancement Services at the Monroe Community College Foundation. In this role, she leads the Foundation’s financial operations and manages the Advancement Services department.

Rivoli has worked at the MCC Foundation for just over two years.

“I have always loved numbers and the idea of money even as a child, but I also have always been passionate about helping people or communities,” she said. “Working in the non-profit sector has filled that passion for me, but I also get to work on the financial side of the organization, so it has been a win-win for me.”

MCC played a significant role in shaping Rivoli’s career. She completed her first two years of college here before transferring to St. John Fisher, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance.

“MCC is where I found my path in life. I took my first accounting and finance courses here, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do from then on,” she added.

When asked what advice she would give current or prospective students, Rivoli said, “MCC is not just a school, it’s a community. A community built specifically to help you thrive and achieve your goals. There are so many incredible people who work here, including staff and faculty who want the best for each new and returning student.”

Outside of work, Rivoli stays very busy with her two young children. In the future, she hopes to serve on the board of a local nonprofit. Having lived in Rochester her entire life with no plans to relocate, she feels it would be an ideal opportunity to give back to her community.

“I love this community!” she added.
