Be Part of MCC Foundation's 20th Annual Walk/Run for Scholarships
Please share with students:The Monroe Community College Foundation's 20th Annual Walk/Run for Scholarships is almost here! On Saturday, October 3, members of the MCC community and friends of the college will come together to support student success while enjoying a day of fitness, fun, and philanthropy.
This longstanding MCC tradition helps raise scholarship support for students and offers a variety of activities for participants and their families. Whether you're walking, running, volunteering, or cheering others on, your participation helps make a difference.
Event highlights include:
- A Zumba warm-up
- The certified 5K walk/run course
- Fall Fest activities hosted by the Campus Activities Board and Student Life and Leadership Development
- Music, photo opportunities, and commemorative event T-shirts
- Lunch, followed by scholarship drawings and awards
One of the most exciting parts of the day is the opportunity for current MCC students enrolled in the fall semester to win scholarship support. Through post-race drawings, $5,000 in MCC scholarships will be awarded to student participants. In addition, ten students will receive $100 MCC Bookstore gift cards.
Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m. in the Samuel J. Stabins Physical Education Complex (Building 10), with the 5K beginning at 10:00 a.m. Awards for top finishers and scholarship drawings will follow the race.
Whether you're participating as an individual, joining a team, or spending the day with family and friends, we hope you'll be part of this special 20th anniversary celebration supporting MCC students.
