TCC: Fall Conversation #3 on Wed., Nov. 12: A Conversation on Belonging at MCC

Former MCC Vice President of Academic Services, Dr. Janet Glocker, used to say that faculty and staff made up the "fabric" of MCC.  Our November TCC Conversation, Becoming Ourselves Here: A Conversation on Belonging at MCC, brings together full- and part-time faculty and staff whose experiences and perspectives represent many different threads of our college community. Each panelist will share how they came to feel woven into the fabric of this institution—how they found connection, purpose, and a sense of belonging here. As we listen to their stories, we’ll also reflect on what helps each of us become more tightly knit into that fabric and how we can help new and longtime colleagues alike feel that they also have a place.

All faculty and staff are welcome!

The event is designed to meet the following goals of the Teaching and Creativity Center's programming:

  • Goal 1: Create a culture of critical reflection, continual growth, and collaboration for faculty at all stages of professional growth
  • Goal 2: Promote evidence-based, high-impact, innovative course design and teaching strategies that improve student outcomes
  • Goal 3: Facilitate faculty inquiry into the study of teaching & learning with an equity lens
