MCC Public Safety Director Elected President of Statewide SUNY Association

Stephen Wise, Director of Public Safety at SUNY Monroe Community College, was elected president of the SUNY Community College Public Safety Administrators Association at the organization’s annual conference held last week in Saratoga Springs, NY.

The SUNY Community College Public Safety Administrators Association represents public safety departments across all SUNY community colleges and serves as a forum for collaboration, professional development, and the sharing of best practices among campus public safety leaders statewide.

Wise has served on the association’s Board of Directors for more than 10 years and has been credited with helping to reestablish and revitalize the organization, strengthening engagement among member institutions and reinforcing its mission to unite SUNY community college public safety departments.

The association’s goal is to provide a unified voice for public safety administrators while fostering collaboration, information sharing, and coordinated approaches to campus safety challenges.

As president, Wise will focus on continuing to strengthen interdepartmental collaboration and supporting initiatives that enhance emergency preparedness, training, and communication across SUNY community college campuses.

Wise’s term as president begins immediately.
