Three former MCC baseball players were among seven individuals selected for the 2026 class of the New York State Section V Baseball Hall of Fame. All of the former Tribunes were honored at the Father’s Day Red Wings Game Sunday.
- Dudley “Skip” Bailey, MCC Class of 1976, earned all-conference honors while playing at MCC and was an All-Big Eight selection for the University of Colorado. He later coached MCC’s baseball team from 1996 to 2007, during which he led the team to six Region III Championships, five Coach of the Year Awards, and was inducted into the NJCAA Baseball Hall of Fame in 2011. He also served as MCC’s Athletic Director from 2007 to 2017.
- Johnny Ricotta, MCC Class of 2017, was named a First Team All-American in 2017. He still holds MCC career records in home runs, RBI, and total bases. He finished his collegiate career at Ball State University.
- Mike Zaccardo, MCC Class of 2005, also played at SUNY Cortland after graduating from MCC. In 2008, he signed a free-agent deal with the Philadelphia Phillies and played for the Williamsport Crosscutters.
