Simple Syllabus Training Opportunities: Week of June 1

Simple Syllabus is a new tool integrated within Brightspace designed to simplify how Course Information Sheets are created, shared, and stored. It also provides a centralized repository, making it easy for faculty and staff to access, review, reuse, share, and reference syllabi across courses and terms. Our custom MCC Syllabus is based on the current Course Information Sheet (CIS) Template, so the new format will seem very familar.

Faculty are encouraged to pilot the tool in summer courses (if practical), with full availability for all interested users in the fall semester. Our goal is a complete transition of all course syllabi to Simple Syllabus by Spring 2027.

During Professional Development Week, we will offer several one hour trainings and drop-in syllabus editing hours to allow time to see this new tool in action. See details below for each session.
