Thank You for a Wonderful Holiday Reception

The holiday season provides a special moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate the values that strengthen our community. This year’s holiday reception embraced the theme, "Transformation: Catalyzing Bright Futures for our Community and its People," shining a light on the collective growth, innovation, and dedication that propel us toward a brighter tomorrow together.

I am truly grateful to everyone who took part in the celebration. Through heartfelt conversations, shared laughter, and uplifting moments of connection, we were reminded of how powerfully our community inspires, supports, and transforms one another. These experiences of togetherness fuel the bright futures we are working to create—for our students, our colleagues, and ourselves.

A special thank you goes to the planning committee, whose creativity and hard work brought the event to life. Their thoughtful touches and attention to detail created an atmosphere that was both festive and welcoming:

  • Kim Dodson, MCC Foundation
  • Marra Green, Office of the President
  • Rebecca Griffin, Hospitality Management
  • Linda Hall, Office of the President
  • Yolanda Johnson, Campus Events
  • Subia Khan, Office of the President
  • Chiana Massey, Sodexo
  • Patrick Morris, Community Relations
  • Sharon Rappenecker, Community Relations
  • Tom Winslow, Campus Events

I’d also like to extend my gratitude to the MCC Foundation for sponsoring the reception, to the College Officers for donating the raffle baskets, and to everyone who participated in the raffle. Your generosity and enthusiasm helped raise $275 for MCC Assist, —an effort that directly supports our students in achieving their goals.

Congratulations to all of our raffle winners:

  • Terry Shamblin: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Wellness Care Basket
  • Philip Osterling: EDIWS Wine and Country Gift Basket
  • Douglas Henneberg: Office of the President MCC Swag Basket
  • Michelle Genao: Academic and Student Affairs Buffalo Bills Gift Basket
  • Dale Pearce: Administrative Services Festive Gourmet Gift Basket
  • Jeff Bartkovich: Institutional Advancement/MCC Foundation Lottery Basket

As we look ahead to the new year, let us continue supporting one another and empowering our students as they pursue their brightest paths forward. Together, we can spark meaningful transformation and amplify the impact of our collective work. Wishing you a joyful, peaceful, and rejuvenating holiday season
