2026 National Hispanic Heritage Month Theme

“Unidos, Somos Más” (translated as “Together, We are More”) highlights the collective power, connection, and collaboration found within diverse Hispanic and Latino communities.

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of U.S. citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.

With more than 68 million Hispanic Americans in the United States, the Hispanic and Latino community represents approximately one-fifth of the nation’s population and is the country’s largest ethnic minority group. This vibrant and growing community continues to shape the cultural, economic, and social fabric of the United States. Its influence can be seen across our communities, businesses, schools, healthcare systems, arts and culture, and civic life.

Hispanic and Latino Americans have made—and continue to make—countless contributions to the United States and to the world. Their traditions, achievements, perspectives, and dedication enrich our nation and strengthen the communities we all share.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we proudly honor and celebrate the history, culture, achievements, and invaluable contributions of Hispanic Americans. We recognize the generations who came before us, celebrate those who are building our future today, and reaffirm our appreciation for the enduring diversity that makes our nation stronger.
