Tech Tip: Keep Apps on devices up to date

Regularly updating apps on your phone or other mobile device is a best practice for mobile devices.

  • Security - keeping apps updated helps protect your device from potential threats
  • Performance - updates often optimize app performance, fix bugs, and improve stability
  • New Features - updates can introduce feature enhancements
  • Compatibility - updates ensure apps remain compatible with latest operating system versions and other apps

To update your phone apps:

iPhone:

  1. Open app store
  2. Tap your profile icon (top right)
  3. Scroll down to see available 
  4. Tap update next to an app or Update All to update all

Android:

  1. Open play store
  2. Tap your profile icon (top right)
  3. Select Mange apps and device
  4. Click see details to see pending updates
  5. Tap update next to an app or Update All to update all
