New Geospatial Information Systems Lab Coming to Building 11!
Big changes are on the horizon for our campus! Building 11, Room 111 is about to transform into a cutting-edge Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Lab, designed to give students hands-on experience with the latest technology in the field.
To make this vision a reality, the current computer classroom in Building 11, Room 111 will be taken offline during Spring 2026 as we begin construction on this innovative space. The new GIS Lab will feature state-of-the-art equipment, including a visualization wall that will allow students to explore and analyze spatial data like never before.
This lab will serve as a hub for GIS students to develop critical skills in mapping, spatial analysis, and data visualization—skills that are in high demand across industries such as environmental science, urban planning, public health, and more.
The grand opening of the GIS Lab is planned for Fall 2026, and we can’t wait to welcome students into this dynamic learning environment. Stay tuned for updates as we bring this exciting project to life!
