MCC Daily Tribune
End of Semester Message from the President
Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
The only rock I know that stays steady, the only institution I know that works, is the family. – Lee Iacocca, American automobile executive
As the Fall 2025 semester concludes, I sincerely congratulate everyone in our college community. This season always reminds me that we are more than just individuals following our own paths—we are a family, united by purpose and committed to creating opportunities for all.
Throughout the semester, you have shown what it truly means to come together as one. In classrooms, studios, labs, offices, and virtual spaces, you supported, learned from, and motivated each other to achieve new heights. That unity—based on compassion, respect, and teamwork—is what defines Monroe Community College's character and strength.
I also want to recognize that for many, the holiday season can be challenging, and this time of year can bring sad feelings of loss, loneliness, or the absence of the safety that MCC provides. That's why our sense of togetherness matters—our kindness and understanding help make sure everyone feels seen, valued, and supported, especially during uncertain times. Despite these challenges, your collective resilience really stands out.
To our students: your determination inspires us every day. You are shaping a brighter future not only for yourselves, but also for your families, communities, and the world you are helping to build.
To our faculty: thank you for your dedication to teaching, mentoring, and discovery. You inspire possibility by encouraging students to think deeply, dream boldly, and grow with purpose.
To our staff: your dedication, professionalism, and constant support keep our college running smoothly and provide our students with what they need to succeed. You are the threads that quietly and reliably hold our Tribune family together.
As you head into a well-earned break, I encourage you to take time for rest, celebration, and connection with the people who matter most. Know that this College family is grateful for everything you have contributed this semester and that we look forward to continuing our work—together as one—in the new year.
Thank you for another inspiring and successful semester! Here’s to the progress we’ve made and to catalyzing bright futures for our community and its people in the months and years ahead.
Sincerely,
Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna,
President, Monroe Community College
