TCC:Fall Conversation #1 on Sept. 24--Belonging in Community Colleges
The TCC’s Conversations series begins Wednesday, Sept. 24, with “How Culturally Responsive Campuses Increase a Sense of Belonging in Community Colleges,” facilitated by Christina Lee.
This lunchtime session will review foundational research in belonging as well as discuss best practices for culturally responsive campuses with an emphasis on historically excluded and marginalized students in community colleges.
- When: Wednesday, Sept. 24, 12:00 to 12:50 PM
- Where: Brighton Campus TCC (12-201) with remote option on Zoom
All faculty and staff are welcome!
The event is designed to meet the following goal of the Teaching and Creativity Center's programming:
- Goal 1: Create a culture of critical reflection, continual growth, and collaboration for faculty at all stages of professional growth
- Goal 2: Promote evidence-based, high-impact, innovative course design and teaching strategies that improve student outcomes
- Goal 3: Facilitate faculty inquiry into the study of teaching & learning with an equity lens
