MCC Daily Tribune

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Please share with students:

Join the Counseling, Disability & Health Services Office as we come together to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month throughout May. This year, we continue our commitment to supporting the well-being of our MCC community by promoting open conversations, reducing stigma, and creating a campus culture where mental health is prioritized and supported. Mental health counselors will be present at events to connect with students and offer support.

Mental health impacts all of us, whether personally or through someone we care about. As academic, social, and personal demands continue to grow, it’s more important than ever to provide students with the tools, resources, and support they need to navigate challenges and build resilience.

Throughout the month, we invite students to engage, connect, and explore different ways to support their mental health and overall well-being. Our programming will focus on practical strategies for stress management, self-care, emotional wellness, and help-seeking, while also highlighting both on-campus and community resources. Students can also pick up a Mental Health Awareness passport; attend 3 or more events to be entered into a raffle for a wellness swag bag.

We’ll be kicking things off with a series of events taking place throughout the first two weeks of May. We encourage you to stop by, get involved, and take a step toward prioritizing your well-being. See below for a detailed daily agenda:
