DWI Awareness Event Today

December marks National Impaired Driving Prevention Month, and we’re coming together as a campus community to highlight this important topic. This year, The Counseling, Disability & Health Services Department is partnering with StopDWI Monroe County, MCC Public Safety, and the IMPACT Team to bring you an engaging, educational, and interactive event designed to promote safer choices and increase awareness.

Students will learn about the serious risks of impaired driving, hear real stories from our local community, and gain practical tools for making safe, informed decisions. You’ll also have the chance to participate in hands-on activities, including mock sobriety tests and an impaired driving simulator that demonstrates how alcohol and drugs affect reaction time and judgment. Plus, there will be prizes, resources, and more to support responsible planning—whether it’s designating a sober driver, arranging transportation, or knowing when to call for help.

Join us as we work together to keep our community safe.

Time: 11:00am to 1:00pm
Location: Brighton Campus Terrace
