Save the Date! Carmen Powers Legacy Lecture

It is my honor to announce our 2026 Carmen Powers Legacy Lecturer, Professor Todd Korol.

The intent of the Carmen Powers Legacy Lecture Series is to share and preserve MCC’s collective professional and institutional wisdom. Individuals selected for this prestigious opportunity have had a long and distinguished career at MCC, is an outstanding teacher, mentor, advisor, leader to peers and students, and has a meaningful message to share with the College that will enrich the lives and work of MCC faculty, staff, and students.

Professor Todd Korol retired in September 2025 after teaching for 23 years. He served in a variety of different roles throughout his tenure with his last eight and a half years as Department Chair for Business Administration. Todd taught a cross-section of different business courses across all of the department’s degrees and certificates. He was responsible for shaping the original Launch Your Business program focused on developing the business ideas and businesses of young entrepreneurs across the college and the greater Rochester community. He championed the restructuring of the CIS (Computer Information Systems) degree to an industry standard MIS (Management Information Systems) transfer degree. Most importantly, Todd had an unwavering devotion to students, the department, and MCC.

Join us Thursday, May 21 at 12:00 pm in the Forum (3-130) for his Legacy Lecture.

We look forward to seeing you there!
