TCC Save the Date: Tell My Story with STARR Workshop (June 9, 2026)

The Teaching and Creativity Center (TCC) will host a professional development workshop on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, focused on helping students better articulate their learning, skills, and growth for academic, transfer, and career contexts.

Tell My Story with STARR, facilitated by Dr. Janine Bower, introduces a structured reflection framework that helps students connect their coursework, projects, labs, internships, and research experiences to future opportunities—while building confidence in their learning.

Dr. Janine Bower is a sociologist, learning strategist, and co-founder of B Optimal Consulting with over 20 years of experience in higher education. She has designed more than 120 learning experiences across work-integrated, industry-connected, and institutional contexts — always with a focus on making learning intentional and transferable. Today she develops practical, metacognitive learning systems that help students, educators, and student success professionals make learning visible, usable, and actionable

Workshop details:

  • Date: June 9, 2026
  • Time: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
