Sustainable Prom / Fashion Show with Sustainability Club
The Sustainability Club is having a Sustainable Prom / Fashion Show on Thursday, May 7th, from 4pm to 7pm in the Campus Center Atrium.
The fashion show will be from 5pm to 6pm and will be kicked off with performances from Eva Flow, a drag queen from ROAR, and Matt Schwartz, founder of Deaf theatre company JPosh Productions. These two are our lovely hosts who will announce and commentate as our students, staff, and faculty walk down the runway showing off their incredible outfits made from thrifted, repurposed, and/or self-made clothing! The top three participants will receive a prize!
There will be food, board games, dancing on the stage, and a photo booth during the start and end of the event. Additionally, there will be tabling from Color Brighton Green and information about sustainable fashion.
Come learn about sustainable fashion and see the possibilities are endless when you learn how to repurpose and reuse. As a participant in the fashion show: Create a sustainable outfit (thrifted, repurposed items) and have fun walking down a runway performing/posing for the chance to win a prize.
Sign up to participate in the fashion show.
We are collecting more clothing donations at tables!
