Dr. Alexis Vogt appointed Executive Director of New York Photonics

Dr. Alexis Vogt, Professor and Chair of the Optical Systems Technology program, has been appointed Executive Director of New York Photonics, the statewide optics, photonics, and imaging industry cluster. In this role, Dr. Vogt will further strengthen MCC's connections with regional and national industry partners, expand opportunities for employer engagement, workforce alignment, and applied research collaboration, and elevate the College's visability and leadership within New York State's optics and advanced manufacturing ecosystem. This appointment will also support continued alignment between industry needs and curriculum as the program grows and pursues additional external funding opportunities.
