Professional Development, Reflective Practice, and Undergraduate Research

URSICA invites all faculty who are supporting any form of student research in their classroom to join us for a Reflective Practice Group this semester.

Reflective Practice Groups are a nationwide professional development model established to improve student learning and success by supporting educators reflecting on and improving their practice. Our goal will be to reflect critically about our teaching, especially our ability to engage our students during research.

We'll meet two or three times during the Fall semester using structured protocols to look at curriculum, teaching dilemmas, student work, and pivotal moments so that we can provide each other with specific and actionable feedback.
