Reading & Thinking in the Disciplines for Psychology Late Start Class

After a long hiatus, we are again offering REA 100: Reading & Thinking in the Disciplines. This course is designed to support students' reading needs in their content area classes, particularly gateway courses such as PSY 101.

This semester, we are running a late-start section that is contextualized to PSY 101. It is not a learning community connected to a specific section of PSY 101; any student taking any section of PSY 101 is eligible to register. The instructor, April Daniels, has been working with faculty in the Psychology Departmnent  to develop this course, which will offer strategies for reading psychology texts and individualized help with reading.

The course begins after Winter Recess on Tuesday, February 24th. It is hybrid, and meets from 2:00pm to 3:15pm every Tuesday afternoon.

If you know a student who could benefit from this class, please don't hesitate to recommend it. Specific questions can be addressed to Matt Fox (mfox@monroecc.edu), Acting English Chair.
