Wellness Wednesday: National Nutrition Month

Please share with students:

Please join us for today’s Student Wellness Wednesday as we celebrate National Nutrition Month and focus on the powerful role nutrition plays in supporting your overall health, energy, and well-being.

National Nutrition Month is a time to build awareness around making informed food choices and developing healthy eating and physical activity habits. With busy schedules, academic demands, and everyday stress, it’s easy to grab what’s convenient without thinking about how it fuels your body. Today’s event highlights how small, sustainable nutrition choices can enhance your energy, focus, mood, and long-term health.

What’s Happening at This Event:

Nutrition Education Spotlight:
A Nutrition Educator from Cornell Cooperative Extension will share practical information about balanced eating, meal planning on a budget, reading food labels, and simple ways to nourish your body throughout the semester. Learn realistic strategies that fit into a busy college lifestyle.

Mindful Hands-On Activity:
Engage in a simple, hands-on activity designed to help you slow down and de-stress. Creative activities like this provide a simple way to reduce stress, practice mindfulness, and express yourself. Sometimes caring for your well-being starts with pausing, creating, and allowing your mind a quiet moment to reset.

Therapy Dogs:
Take a well-deserved break with our therapy dogs. Stress can influence our eating habits and overall wellness, so taking time to relax and reset is part of good nutrition too. Sometimes caring for your body starts with slowing down.

Wellness Resources:
Explore campus and community resources that support healthy eating, food access, stress management, and overall wellness throughout the semester.

Giveaways & Educational Materials:
Pick up nutrition-focused resources and helpful items to keep you motivated and informed.

Lunch Provided!

Student Wellness Wednesdays are your opportunity to pause, recharge, and focus on your well-being. Today, we invite you to explore how thoughtful nutrition choices can support your academic success, mental clarity, and long-term health.
