MCC Shines at American Association of Community Colleges Annual Conference
Monroe Community College took center stage at the American Association of Community Colleges Annual Conference earlier this month. From presentations to awards, here are the highlights from the conference in Seattle:
- President DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna delivered multiple impactful presentations, beginning with a New CEO Academy session on leadership and resource development—key drivers of institutional strength and student success.
- Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the MCC Foundation, Gretchen Wood, and President Burt-Nanna shared MCC’s innovative approach to leveraging public‑private partnerships for workforce development through strategic naming opportunities.
- President Burt‑Nanna also joined Provost and Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs Dr. Mike Jacobs and Associate Vice President of Administrative Services Darrell Jachim‑Moore for a third presentation highlighting how the intentional alignment of people, data, and processes fuels sustainable investment and improves student outcomes.
- Michael Rehbaumm, coordinator of the Software Technology Advancement Center (STAC), presented “Bridging the Technology Gap: The Software Technology Advancement Center,” highlighting innovation and collaboration in advancing technology.
- Professor Rick Costanza, Associate Professor and Chair of Education & Human Services, was named an American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) 2026 Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty honoree.
