Public Safety Reminders as Spring Approaches
Despite what the weather may seem like now, Spring is coming soon. With Spring (eventually) comes warmer temperatures and more people being outside. The Public Safety Department would like to offer some tips and reminders as the seasons change.
- Be aware of your surroundings. More people will be outside walking in high-traffic areas. At all campuses, be mindful of increased pedestrian traffic while driving, and obey traffic laws for your safety.
- Lock your vehicle doors and keep valuables out of sight when you are out of your car.
- When you leave the buildings, walking in groups is always preferred over leaving alone.
- When walking outside when it is dark, make sure you wear bright colors so vehicles can see you.
- Ensure your doors are locked when you leave the parking lots.
- MCC Public Safety is here to assist you. If you would like an escort to your car, please call us at 292-2911 – anytime, day or night.
- If you see something, say something. Do not hesitate to contact Public Safety at (585) 292-2911.
We appreciate your partnership and vigilance in keeping our college community safe for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
