Help Us Fill the Blue Bags for Gratitude Fest!

Each year, the MCC Downtown Campus hosts Gratitude Fest, a celebration of gratitude, community, and belonging. Our FREE Pop-Up Market is an extension of the work our DWIGHT Team does every day through the DWIGHT Food Pantry, giving students an opportunity to choose food, hygiene products, household essentials, baby items, and other necessities for themselves and their families.

This year, we are asking our MCC community to help us Fill the Blue Bags!

Faculty, staff, departments, and community partners can take a Blue Bag and fill it with hygiene products, nonperishable food, baby items, or household essentials. All donations will help us create a welcoming and well-stocked Gratitude Fest market.

Want a Blue Bag? Email Nicole Meyer (nmeyer3@monroecc.edu), and our DWIGHT Team will make sure you get one! Individuals and departments are welcome to take multiple bags or even host a collection.

Our DWIGHT Team believes that meeting basic needs is an important part of student success. Gratitude Fest allows us to expand that work beyond the pantry walls and provide resources in a way that honors dignity, creates belonging, and reminds our students that their MCC community is invested in their success.

Together, we can help remove barriers, create belonging, and make sure our students have the support they need to succeed.
