R. Thomas & Kate Flynn Scholarship Fund

The R. Thomas & Kate Flynn Scholarship fund recognizes two Monroe Community College students who have excelled both in and out of the classroom, making a significant contribution to the educational and co-curricular environment at MCC.  The criteria are listed below:

  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Be full or part-time students
  • The scholarship will initially fund two annual awards to student leaders. As the endowment grows, the goal is to expand to four annual awards, with the potential for additional awards in future years.
  • Students must demonstrate a significant contribution to the educational and curricular environment at MCC.

A scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to two student leaders at the Student Engagement Awards Ceremony, Friday, May 15, 2026.

We are accepting nominations through Wednesday, April 24, 2026.  Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to nominate students who would be worthy of this recognition.  We are grateful to the Flynn family for funding this scholarship.
