Child Care Center New Initiatives

Please share with students:

The Richard M. Guon Child Care Center at Monroe Community College was awarded a $200,000 grant through the State University of New York to launch an innovative evening child care initiative for the fall semester. This program will support student parents by extending child care services into the evening hours, with a special focus on serving families participating in the SUNY Reconnect program.

The program will provide care for up to 24 children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old, helping student parents balance the demands of college coursework and family responsibilities. By expanding access to quality child care during nontraditional hours, the initiative aims to remove barriers that often prevent student parents from continuing their education.

As we prepare to launch this exciting new program, we're growing our team! The Richard M. Guon Child Care Center is seeking passionate, dedicated early childhood professionals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and student families. If you're looking for a rewarding career in a supportive, high-quality early learning environment, we encourage you to explore our current employment opportunities and apply today.
