Free NYS Tax Preparation - Downtown Campus

Get in-person tax help and file for Free!

In partnership with NYS Department of Taxation & Finance, sessions are available
on select Mondays from 9:30am to 4:00pm at the Downtown Campus,
Room 300. See dates below:

  • February 10, 2026
  • March 3, 2026
  • March 17, 2026
  • March 31, 2026

You must pre-register and schedule an appointment. For information, a list of necessary documents, or to schedule a session, talk to a Tax Department site coordinator or visit the Taxpayer Assistance Program website.

  • Use on-site computers, or your own laptop, tablet, or mobile device.
  • You only need basic computer skills and an active email account.
  • If you earned $84,000 or less in 2024, you qualify.
  • Safe and secure online tax software.
