Save the Date: Seeds of Success Workshops

Please share with students:

The Counseling, Disability and Health Services Department is offering two Seeds of Success Workshops for students this Spring Semester.

If you want to improve your study skills, if you get nervous on exams, or if you feel overwhelmed by the demands placed upon your time, you are encouraged to attend, free of charge, Seeds of Success (SOS) workshops at Monroe Community College. SOS workshops are hosted by Counseling, Disability, and Health Services. Students who have participated in these workshops in the past have demonstrated reduced test anxiety as well as improved study habits and academic achievement.

The SOS content will be broken into two workshops this semester:

  • SOS Part 1 is scheduled for April 14th from 12pm to 1pm and will take place in the Prism 1-108 Students will learn about setting and evaluating personal and academic goals, increasing motivation, and time management.
  • SOS Part 2 is scheduled for May 5th from 12pm to 1pm and will take place in the Prism 1-108. The focus will be on building self-awareness, self-validation, stress management and preparing for finals, and building good note-taking and study skills habits.

There is no need for students to RSVP, and all are welcomed to join for just one or both of the workshops!
