Tech Tip: Zoom mandatory version updates

Zoom sets a platform minimum version every 3 months, giving everyone a 3-month advance notice to update. Zoom Workplace App version 6.5.12 is now available. Version 6.0.2 is required since November 1. Check and update your version of Zoom now. If unable to immediately update when trying to sign in to join a meeting/webinar, users will be provided the option to join a meeting through the web app instead. 

Check for updates:

  1. Click the Zoom icon on your computer to open Zoom.
  2. Login (if needed) through the SSO button.
  3. Click on the profile photo or initials in the upper right corner.
  4. Click 'Check for Updates' on the menu that appears. The update will load.
  5. Click Install to complete the update.
