Bethany Gizzi is Stepping Down After 15 Years as the FA President, Lets Celebrate Her!

After 15 years of steadfast leadership, Bethany Gizzi is stepping down as President of the Faculty Association, and we invite you to join us in celebrating her remarkable service and lasting impact on our college community.

Throughout her tenure, Bethany has been a fearless advocate for faculty and professional staff. She helped to guide the College through periods of significant change, including leadership transitions, complex contract negotiations, and even the uncertainty of potential faculty layoffs. In each of these moments, her commitment, resilience, and clarity of purpose helped ensure that voices were heard and protected.

As she steps down, we reflect with deep gratitude on her 27 years of tireless service, principled leadership, and unwavering support for her colleagues (involved in the union since 1999 and as FA President since 2011). Please join us as we honor Bethany, celebrate her many accomplishments, and thank her for the legacy she leaves behind.

Celebration will take place:

When: Thursday, June 18

Where: Monroe's Restaurant, 3001 Monroe Ave., Rochester

Time: 4:00pm to 8:00pm

Cost: $25 (for party and gift), Venmo (link attached to invitation), cash or check (payable to The Faculty Association). If paying by cash or check you can drop of payment to the FA Office (7-205) Monday to Thursday.
