Technology Services: What's New and What's Next
From upgraded systems to stronger security and faster networks, Technology Services is making steady progress on projects designed to improve your day-to-day experience at the college. Here’s a look at what’s happening now and what’s coming soon.
Smarter Systems Are on the Way
We’re rolling out several new tools to make it easier to get support, access information, and manage projects:
- TeamDynamix (launching August 2026)
Our new technology service platform will make requesting help simpler and more efficient. It will bring together ticketing, asset tracking, and project management—all in one place—with improved workflows and better visibility into projects and budgets. - Ellucian Experience Premium (project starting July 2026)
With built in APIs for streamlined system integration, this new portal will give students and employees a more user-friendly way to access Banner information. It’s designed to be more intuitive, integrated, and aligned with SUNY requirements. - Improving Data & Systems Behind the Scenes
After a college-wide review of our systems, we’re making improvements to how data is managed, how systems connect, and how records are stored electronically—helping everything run more smoothly. - Moving from WebFOCUS to Argos
Work continues to transition reporting tools across offices, with full completion expected by Spring 2027. This will standardize reporting and improve access to data.
A Faster, More Reliable Network
We’re in the middle of a major upgrade to the college’s network infrastructure across all campuses. This modernization will improve connectivity, reliability, and performance—supporting everything from classroom technology to daily operations.
Upgraded Equipment for Employees
We’re developing a laptop replacement program to ensure faculty and staff have access to reliable, up-to-date devices that support their work more effectively.
Keeping the College Secure
Security remains a top priority, and we’re exploring new ways to better protect our systems and data:
- Passwordless Login (Pilot)
We’re testing Windows Hello for Business, which replaces passwords with more secure and convenient sign-in options. - AI and Data Protection
We’re exploring AI-driven tools to help safeguard confidential information.
Working Together
In addition to supporting the technology needs across the college, our IT Web Team is partnering with Marketing, Web, and Social Media to support the launch of the new monroecc.edu website, helping create a modern, accessible online experience.
The Telecom & Network and Computing areas are assisting in setting up all classrooms and offices in the new Applied Technologies Center on the Brighton Campus.
Looking Ahead
These efforts are part of our ongoing commitment to improve technology, strengthen security, and better support the college community. More updates will be shared as these projects continue to move forward.
