Electrical Engineering Student Earns Competitive Internship with Micron Technology

The Engineering Technologies Department is excited to share that Kayla Monett, a first-year student in the Electrical Engineering Technology program, has been selected for a paid summer internship with Micron Technology.  Kayla is one of only a few MCC students to earn this opportunity and will serve as an Equipment Technician Intern at Micron’s fabrication facility in Manassas, VA, an excellent first step toward a future career with the company.

Micron, a global leader in semiconductor memory and storage solutions, is also preparing to launch a major new manufacturing facility in upstate New York, expanding opportunities in the region’s high‑tech workforce.

Kayla’s achievement highlights her dedication and the strong foundation she has built through MCC’s Electrical Engineering Technology program.  Her coursework has provided hands-on experience with circuits, instrumentation, communication systems, and computer-based controls, along with valuable skills in equipment troubleshooting, data analysis, and applying engineering principles to real-world challenges.

MCC’s Electrical Engineering Technology A.A.S. degree offers students a direct pathway into careers across high-tech industries and government agencies.

Please join us in congratulating Kayla on this outstanding accomplishment and wishing her continued success.
