Save the Date: Mindful Tools for Modern Life Poster Walk on May 1st

Please save the date for the Mindful Tools for Modern Life Poster Walk, which will be held on Friday, May 1st from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in Monroe A/B. This event is sponsored by the Wellness Council.

Join us for a relaxed, interactive event where you can walk around exploring posters highlighting different mindfulness strategies to help us reduce stress and live more intentionally. Each poster presents a simple technique for incorporating mindfulness into daily routines. As you move from poster to poster, you can reflect on the strategies and discuss ideas with others.

Light snacks and refreshments will be available so you can pause, chat, and connect.

FAQ's about Mindful Tools for Modern Life Poster Walk on May 1st from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in Monroe A/B

  • Is there a formal program for the two hours?
    No. Come late, leave early as your schedule allows. Stay as long as you like.
  • What can we expect?
    This is an informal opportunity to talk about mindfulness strategies with MCC staff, faculty, administrators, and students. Suggestions for your time: sign in, take a journal, have some delicious snacks, walk the gallery of strategies, try some finger labyrinths, talk with others, listen to music, enjoy!
  • Are we going to meditate?
    Not formally. Many of the posters offer mindfulness strategies that may be used during meditation. You may also wish to try out a finger labyrinth, which can be a meditative experience.
  • What’s the purpose of the event? 
    To build community, to take a break, to think and talk with others
  • Who is putting this event on?
    Facilitated by Renee Dimino and Terry Shamblin and generously sponsored by the Wellness Council
