Join us For Suicide Prevention Awareness Next Week
Please share with students:In recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, Counseling, Disability & Health Services is offering a week of events designed to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and connect students with mental health and suicide prevention resources.
Whether you are looking for a chance to relax, connect with others, learn about available support, or simply take a break between classes, we invite you to join us!
Monday: Fresh Air to Free Your Mind
11:30am to 1pm in Front of Building 11
Step outside and give your mind a break! Connect with a mental health counselor while enjoying outdoor games, stress-relieving activities, and snacks.
Tuesday: MCC Check-In Day
11am to 1pm The Atrium
Stop by this collaborative tabling event focused on suicide prevention and mental health. MCC departments and community agencies will offer helpful resources, interactive activities, giveaways, and food.
Wednesday: Suicide Awareness Wellness Wednesday
11am to 1pm Brighton Campus 3-165
12pm to 2pm Downtown Campus 2nd Floor
Join us at both the Brighton and Downtown campuses for activities focused on suicide awareness, prevention, and emotional well-being. Students can connect with resources, participate in stress-relieving activities, and enjoy giveaways.
Thursday: Mental Health Awareness Table
11:30am to 1pm Building 3, Room 103
Visit the outreach table outside Counseling, Disability & Health Services for mental health and crisis-support resources, giveaways, and an opportunity to connect with a mental health counselor.
You do not have to navigate difficult moments alone. Take time this week to check in with yourself, check in with a friend, and learn more about the support available at MCC.
