Richard M Guon Child Care Prepares for an Exciting Fall!
Please share with students:Last Friday, the teachers at the Richard M. Guon Child Care Center spent the day learning, growing, and preparing their classrooms for an exciting fall semester during a Professional Development Day hosted by the Child Care Council of Rochester. The day focused on “Intentional Teaching through the NAEYC Code of Ethics” and “Understanding the Core Body of Knowledge.” Our teachers are committed to creating meaningful learning experiences and nurturing relationships that support every child in our care.
This fall, the center is also excited to launch an innovative evening child care initiative, made possible through a $200,000 grant from the State University of New York. The program will extend child care services into the evening hours to better support student parents, with a special focus on families participating in the SUNY Reconnect program. As the new semester gets underway, we are still looking to fill a few teaching positions at the center. Please help us spread the word that we are hiring! We are looking for teachers who truly enjoy being with children, bring enthusiasm to their work, and have a passion for making a difference in the lives of young learners.
