Liberty Partnerships Program Celebrates 10th Annual Winter Wonderland
Please share with students:On December 16th, 2025, the Liberty Partnerships Program invited students and their families to attend our 10th annual Winter Wonderland event. This event serves as a celebration for all we've accomplished since the start of the school year, adds a light to the dark season of winter, and it helps kick off the holiday break. This year Winter Wonderland set a record with 65+ people in attendance, including parents, siblings, friends and loved ones.
One of the greatest elements of Winter Wonderland has been how it has evolved over the last 10 years. What started as a small event with board games and paper snowflakes as evolved into a family engagement event with raffles, games, crafts and a catered meal for all. With thanks to a contribution to Liberty Partnerships program from a local non for profit, the LPP staff was able to purchase gift baskets for students, ranging from a comfy cozy themed basket, tickets to a Red Wings baseball game, a pasta dinner kit and a game night pack! Students were eligible to earn an extra ticket for the raffle if they brought in a canned donation for the MCC D.W.I.G.H.T. food pantry. Several students and their families chose to participate, continuing the theme of giving and support for the holiday season and continuing to strengthen the relationship between MCC. LPP and RCSD.
While we will be taking a break from programming during the holidays, LPP looks forward to connecting with students again in the new year, and continuing to work with our over 325+ currently enrolled students in RCSD. Many thanks to our partners at MCC, Sodexo, and RCSD for making this event possible.
Liberty Partnerships Program is funded by the New York State Department of Education.
