The Week Ahead

The Office of Student Life and Leadership Development presents the following events for next week (please share with your students):

  • Student Life Fair – Downtown Campus!
    • Monday, September 8th, 12pm to 1pm, Downtown Campus 2nd Floor Lounge
    • Clubs and Organizations will be highlighting the opportunities to get involved. The variety of clubs, whether academic, social or cultural, will enhance your MCC experience. Most of all, it is your opportunity to talk with many of the student leaders, the Office of Student Life & Leadership Development staff and faculty advisors.
  • MCC Check-In Day
    • Tuesday, September 9th, 11am to 1pm, Brighton Campus Atrium
    • MCC Check-In Day is an event to help students connect to college offices and community resources, while also promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention through interactive conversation and activities, support of multiple campus departments, free food, and giveaways!
  • Student Government Association Senate Meeting
    • Tuesday, September 9th, 2:15pm to 5pm, Brighton Campus Forum 3-130 & Zoom
    • The Student Government Association will be having their first public Senate Meeting on Tuesday, September 9th! Feel free to join in person or via zoom.

  • Rory Gardiner: Getting Comfortable in the Uncomfortable
    • Wednesday, September 10th, 12pm to 1pm, Brighton Campus Forum 3-130
    • Campus Activities Board presents Rory Gardiner, who is an award-winning comedian and TedX speaker. Lunch will be included!
  • Annual September 11th Remembrance Ceremony
    • Thursday, September 11th, 8am to 9am at MCC’s 9/11 Memorial in front of Lot G, Brighton Campus
    • We hope you can join us on Thursday, September 11th from 8 to 9am at the memorial located outside of Building 10, as we remember the tragic events of 9/11/2001. In the event of rain, we will have the ceremony in the Gym. Please encourage your students to attend.
