Earn while you learn

In an auto tech apprenticeship, you’ll study in the classroom and in our labs. Plus, you’ll get paid to work at a local service center. That’s challenging. But hard work pays off. When you graduate, you’ll have a degree or certificate, auto tech expertise, a solid employment record and contacts in the field to leverage for a full-time job.

Develop in-demand expertise

We say that an auto tech career is good for you if you like science, math and money. In our programs, you’ll be up to your elbows in computer technology. The auto industry has come a long way and we make sure you stay ahead.

You’ll understand the science behind all major systems, including:  

  • Electrical components
  • Hydraulic braking systems
  • Emissions controls
  • Steering & suspension
  • Heating & air conditioning
  • Engine repair, and more!

You’ll gain confidence troubleshooting with instructors, classmates and employers and use the best diagnostic equipment and latest techniques to get the job done.

Toyota T-Ten A.A.S.

  • Developed in partnership with Toyota
  • Two-year, five-semester associate degree program
  • Courses in workplace health & safety and communications
  • Work at certified T-TEN dealerships including Dorschel Toyota, Dorschel Lexus, Hoselton Toyota, Vanderstyne Toyota
  • Earn Toyota, ASE, NYS & EPA certifications

Toyota T-Ten Certificate

  • Developed in partnership with Toyota
  • Two-year, five-semester program
  • Rotates full-time course work and co-ops at certified local Toyota / Lexus dealerships
  • Fewer courses than T-TEN associate degree program
  • Earn same T-TEN credentials as associate degree program

GM ASEP A.A.S.

  • Developed in partnership with General Motors
  • Two-year, five-semester associate degree program
  • Rotate full-time course work and co-op
  • Work at specialty service centers and major dealerships for Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and more

Multi-Manufacturer Automotive A.A.S.

  • Part-time or full-time, day and evening classes
  • Co-ops at dealerships like Van Bortel Subaru, Ralph Honda & West Herr Ford, and service centers like Browncroft Garage & Firestone
  • Earn ASE, EPA, NYS and Subaru Level II certifications

Automotive Technology Certificate

  • Developed for students who are currently employed or seeking to enter workforce quickly & offered in the evening
  • Includes co-ops at service centers such as Garber Honda, Cortese Ford & Firestone
  • Apply your credits toward an auto tech associate degree later
  • Qualify for jobs such as automotive specialty technician & light duty passenger vehicle technician
