Universal Design for Learning (UDL) celebrates learners as individuals—but technology can make it easier to build their agency into your course. In this short, hands‑on session, we’ll explore a range of tools that support UDL, including AI platforms for creating instructional videos, generating rubrics and FERPA‑compliant feedback, scaffolding assignments, and summarizing content.

We’ll also highlight some underused features already available in Brightspace, such as automatic alternative content formats for students and support for submitting work in multiple formats.

If you’d like, bring an activity or reading from your course to test the capabilities (and limitations) of these tools.

Please join Abby and Melis for an upcoming professional development program on February 5, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The session will be held in Building 3, Room 3‑122 (located in the Virtual Campus Suite, Room 3‑150).

We look forward to welcoming you. If you have any questions, please contact Melis Kural (mkural@monroecc.edu).
