Please join us for today’s Student Wellness Wednesday as we recognize World Sleep Awareness Month and focus on the important role sleep plays in supporting your overall health, energy, and well-being.

Sleep is essential for academic success, mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical health. However, with busy schedules, academic pressures, screen time, and everyday stress, many college students struggle to get the quality sleep their bodies need. World Sleep Awareness Month is an opportunity to build awareness around healthy sleep habits and the impact sleep has on focus, mood, memory, and overall wellness.

Today’s event highlights how small, realistic changes to your daily routine can improve your sleep quality and help you feel more rested, focused, and ready to take on the semester.

What’s Happening at This Event:

  • Sleep Health Education:
Learn about the importance of sleep for college students and how it impacts academic performance, stress levels, and overall health. Discover practical tips for building healthier sleep habits, managing late-night screen time, and creating a sleep routine that works with a busy college schedule.
  • Mindful Hands-On Activity:
Engage in a simple, hands-on activity designed to help you slow down and de-stress. Creative activities like this provide a simple way to reduce stress, practice mindfulness, and support relaxation which is an important part of preparing your mind and body for better sleep.
  • Therapy Dogs:
Take a well-deserved break with our therapy dogs. Stress and anxiety can interfere with sleep, so taking time to relax and reset is an important step toward improving overall rest and well-being.
  • Wellness Resources:
Explore campus and community resources that support sleep health, stress management, and overall student wellness throughout the semester.
  • Giveaways & Educational Materials:
Pick up sleep-focused resources and helpful items to support healthier sleep habits.
  • Lunch Provided!

Student Wellness Wednesdays are your opportunity to pause, recharge, and focus on your well-being. Today, we invite you to explore how prioritizing sleep can support your academic success, mental clarity, and overall health.
