Well-Being on Wheels

Back to all events

Brighton Campus
11:30 am - 01:00 pm

Are you struggling to build social connections in college? Are you feeling lonely or isolated? We invite you to check out our Well-being on Wheels cart today as we roll across the Brighton Campus around lunchtime. This week, we are focusing on the importance of social connection. Some of what we are highlighting:

  • How essential social connection and a sense of belonging can be for overall well-being, academic success, and mental health.
  • Campus clubs, organizations, activities, and events.
  • Information about Counseling services and the Coping 101: A Mini DBT Skills Group for Students, which starts tomorrow, Wednesday, 4/15. A small group of student peers will connect to learn strategies for navigating relationships, building confidence, tolerating distress, and working to feel more grounded as they tackle the ups and downs of life. There are still a few spots open! Email MCC's Counseling Services (counselingservices@monroecc.edu) for more information.

As always, our wagon aims to help spread awareness around various health and wellness topics, to reduce stigma, and to connect our MCC community to helpful resources both on and off campus. Our goal is to meet students where they are and to make resources inclusive, accessible, and engaging.

We hope to see you around campus!
