A note from your Student Government Association Access Services Liaison

Dear MCC Students, Faculty & Staff:

My name is Aldo Almánzar Rivera and I am the current Access Services Liaison with MCC SGA 2021-22.
 
As the start of our Spring 2022 Semester has begun, I invite you to take care of the following on behalf of our fellow students with disabilities:

Going forward, please enable Live Transcript on Zoom for any meetings and events (such as classes, presentations, interviews, sessions, etc.) taking place remotely/online. In order to enable Live Transcript, it helps to update Zoom to its latest version.

Enabling Live Transcript on Zoom, for example, is a small yet important step toward ensuring MCC's mission of inclusion for students with disabilities like myself, thus resulting in a positive difference for us.

With that said, I encourage you to be mindful of the above and do what you can to help make our MCC experience not only more accessible, but also truly equitable and inclusive for all, including our fellow students with disabilities.
