Stop By Our Mental Health Awareness Table Today
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the Counseling
Center and Disability Services team will be hosting
a drop-by opportunity today, Wednesday, May 11th,
from 11am-12pm, with details below.
- Stop by our table right outside of our office (3-103) and chat
with us about ways you can be a part of the conversation to grow awareness and
decrease stigma surrounding mental health!
- Educational materials and mental health themed goodies will be
available for the taking.
- Computers will be available for students to complete mini mental
health screenings, if desired. Screenings are not meant to be diagnostic.
Screenings are to be self-completed in an effort to encourage self-awareness
and to serve as a starting point for a conversation with a counselor, should a
student choose to schedule a confidential mental health counseling appointment
at a later date. Students will also be offered connections to community
resources, as needed.
