Audition for MCC's Virtual Fall Musical!
MCC is very excited to announce the premier of the original, virtual show,
This is Me: Behind the Mask. Through song and the spoken word,
students will perform pieces that best represent who they are in a culmination
that celebrates diversity, potential, and strength through change. This show
will be developed, written, and performed as a collaboration between the
student performers, Dr. Rollo Fisher (the Music Director), Kate Sweeney (the
Production Manager), and Heather Chang (the Artistic Director).
In addition to completing an online audition form (link below), aspiring
performers must also submit an audition video of themselves singing a cappella,
a verse and chorus of a song. The song may be either a contemporary, popular
song, or a song from a musical. Because this show will concentrate on
individual expression and identity, students must also perform a short (5-7
sentences) monologue about themselves and a topic they feel strongly about.
Please upload your audition videos to YouTube, and submit the link on the
audition form.
If you have any questions, you may contact Professor Chang at hchang2@monroecc.edu. The deadline for
submissions is Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 3:00PM. You must be a current MCC student
to audition. If cast, you will be enrolled in either THE 142 or MUS 142, and
receive 3 course credits.
