SUNY Requires Daily COVID-19 Screenings Before Returning to Campus in January, February

Per SUNY guidance for winter and spring 2021, all students and employees must submit a daily screen for 14 days prior to returning to campus.”

What does that mean for you?

If you plan to take an in-person course or to work at any MCC location during Intersession or Spring Semester 2021, you are required to use our automated COVID-19 Self-Assessment tool daily beginning:

  • Today, Dec. 22 if you plan to come to campus for the first time on Monday, Jan. 4 to work or for pooled testing.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 30 if you plan to come to campus for the first time on Wednesday, Jan. 13 to work or for pooled testing.
  • Monday, Jan. 11 if you plan to learn in person for the first time on Monday, Jan. 25, the start of the spring semester and/or if you are participating in pooled testing sessions for the first time on Monday, Jan. 25 or Tuesday, Jan. 26 as required before returning to in-person learning on Monday, Feb. 1.

All assessments will be tracked. After completing the 14 daily self-assessments and returning to campus, self-assessments only need to be submitted on those specific days on which you need to come to campus. A completed self-assessment, preferably submitted before your actual arrival, is required to access campus buildings.

Student-residents please note: If plan to live on campus during Intersession and/or Spring Semester 2021, the MCC Association's Office of Housing and Residence Life will contact you with specific instructions.

New to the COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool?
Designed by MCC’s Computing and Information Technology Services team, our automated COVID-19 Self-Assessment is accessible via the website (at the top of every web page) and the MCC mobile app. Download the app for free. Search for “Monroe Community College” and look for the MCC black and gold shield.

We appreciate your compliance with this requirement.
