Monroe Athletics Teams up with Facilities to Serve College
On Saturday, October 30th, Over 100 Student-Athletes teamed up with MCC
Facilities to conduct the first Annual Service Day. Student-Athletes were split
into groups and given facility mentors to help clean up the MCC Campus and
classroom in multiple buildings. Athletic Coaches also assisted in leading the
way too.
The morning was led off by a TEAM chant with College President, Dr.
Burt-Nanna and the teams got to work. The areas cleaned up included:
- Classroom Table Cleaning
- Classroom Window Cleaning
- Childcare Gardening area was weeded
- Garbage on Campus was cleaned up, including adventure trails
- 7 Trash runs were done to clean up facilities
The event concluded with a Pumpkin Carving Contest. Pumpkins were donated by
local farm McCracken Farms in Brockport. Cider and Donuts were on served as
well for all participants. The event was a success and will continue on as an
MCC Athletics/Facilities collaboration to serve our Campus. The pumpkins are on
display at the main entrance to Campus.
Special Thanks-
