Dr. Candice Baldwin appointed as Chief of Staff
Dear MCC Faculty, Staff and Students,
We are pleased to announce that candidate Dr. Candice Baldwin
has accepted the appointment of Monroe Community College’s Chief
of Staff, reporting to President Burt-Nanna, effective June 12, 2023.
Dr. Baldwin joins MCC from Frederick Community College, a public community
college with 8,000 credit students and 3,500 continuing and workforce
development students in Frederick, MD, serving most recently as Associate Vice
President for Student Success.
Her extensive experience in a variety of roles focused on student success,
her demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and belonging throughout her
career, and her established connections within the Rochester community
well-position Dr. Baldwin to successfully take on the Chief of Staff
role. Dr. Baldwin will serve as a senior advisor to President Burt-Nanna
on significant and sensitive issues and as a member of the Executive Leadership
Team (ELT). Her strategic and trustworthy leadership and ability to
collaborate cross-functionally to advance the mission of the College will make
her an asset in this role.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Candice Baldwin! You are invited
to attend (virtually or in person) the MCC Board of Trustees meeting on June
12, 2023, which will be Dr. Baldwin's first day and official welcome to our MCC
community.
We sincerely thank search co-chairs Mark Pastorella and Michael Bates, and
the entire search committee, for their diligence, time, and commitment to
completing a successful search. Once again, the college-wide feedback
collected during finalist interviews was invaluable in President
Burt-Nanna’s comprehensive review and vetting of candidates.
Burt-Nanna, DeAnna
